After news broke this morning that Angelina Jolie filed for divorcefrom Brad Pitt after two years of marriage―and about 12 years together―Jolie’s camp is issuing its first official statement.
“This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time,” attorney Robert Offer said in the statement, according to CNBC.
The couple―who just celebrated their second anniversary together with a “low-key” date night in Los Angeles last month―share six children together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox, and Vivienne. Jolie is petitioning for physical custody of the kids.While there are a lot of rumors as to what caused the breakup, the only concrete thing we know right now is: Everything is terrible all the time.
